We spent two days at this hotel and enjoyed it very much. Well located, ok US standard breakfast, close to gas station, convenience store, restaurants. Attentive staff, drink machines down the hall, clean room and equipped with microwave, sink and mini fridge. Good wifi signal Would stay again. Nothing

The rooms were quite big and clean. The location was just beside the main street and before Yosemite National Park. There are also restaurants nearby. Liked the spacious bathroom as well. The breakfast was pretty normal.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It’s nicely updated and the room was spacious and very clean. The staff was helpful, the furnishings were tasteful and the restaurant at the Best Western next door was great! The only downside was that the beds were very hard and the pillows were lumpy and hard too, which is a big deal considering it affected how well we slept. If the mattresses and pillows were replaced, I’d absolutely stay here again.

This is a very nice hotel, very clean and close to the National Park. It is on the main road leading into the park but still quiet in the rooms. We had a balcony on the front and the rooms are very spacious, comfortable beds, lovely bathroom just as photos show. There is a laundry which is very handy. The breakfast is adequate Continental with cereal, boiled eggs, fruit etc. Had a very nice one day stay there and would definitely return, high recommend this hotel. It was a shame we couldn't have stayed longer. I do not have any negative comments to make other than it was expensive as were all the other hotels as we were there on a weekend holiday so it was extremely busy at the National Park. Anyone booking this hotel won't be disappointed. Jeannie from the UK.

This hotel was perfect for our stay while visiting Yosemite. It was located in town near stores and restaurants which made it very easy for us. The hotel staff were great and even recommended a tour to us which was excellent. The hotel is very clean and they were very organized. I would recommend to friends and family and will definitely be staying there again.

With a warm greeting at the front desk, a sincere recommendation for dinner, and a spacious and clean room, the Yosemite Southgate far exceeded our expectations.

Pros: large room, quiet, clean, plenty of parking, good location, 12pm checkout time, newly remodeled nice rooms, good amenities include pool, spa, sauna, steam room, laundry room, computers. Cons: breakfast, pillows, wifi could be better

This place is awesome! - From the minute you walk in you are greeted by some of the friendliest staff on the planet. The staff here gets along really well with each other and with you; They bring you into their family too with a warm welcome and superior-friendly-service throughout. The hotel environment is super-clean (like it was built yesterday), with a nice an cozy with a fireplace and wonderful decor throughout - really made us feel like we were on an adventurous vacation. They have a swimming pool and workout area (though i can’t swim, nor do I work out - but just thought it’s good to know it’s there if you do either activities). Our room was modern, comfortable, spacious and had all the extras you’d expect. We didn’t have any issues during our stay, but the staff was there at our beck and call if needed - I knew that and felt that - which was very reassuring. The location is very good too, minutes from many of the main sites and numerous restaurants (including a Denny’s right outside). If you’re a first timer like us; there’s an excellent tour you can purchase. The tour bus picks you up from the hotel, and takes you around for the day, showing you all the main sites - We LOVED the tour and the commentary provided by our bus driver so much! - Highly recommended. All in all, this place made our first Yosemite adventure stay a lot more fun! Highly recommended, would certainly stay here again (and again).

Great location, the night time front desk personal was very friendly and helpful. The rooms with the kitchenettes are very helpful after a long day. Added plus with the hot tub.

We had a wonderful stay at the Southgate hotel. We arrived on Friday prior to check in but wanted to catch some daylight in the park and the staff was so gracious in letting us check in early to drop off our stuff. The room was very spacious and clean and the hot tub was absolutely amazing after a long day of hiking. Great value for the price. We will definitely be repeat customers!

My husband and I feel the highlight of our trip to Yosemite was staying at the Yosemite Southgate Hotel. The best part was the staff. Helpful, patient, encouraging, and just plain fun to deal with. Thank you!

Fit us in on short notice. Very clean inside and out. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pricing at hotel was cheaper than booking through travel sites.
