Genuine Guest Reviews – Yosemite Southgate Hotel and Suites

This hotel was perfect for our stay while visiting Yosemite. It was located in town near stores and restaurants which made it very easy for us. The hotel staff were great and even recommended a tour to us which was excellent. The hotel is very clean and they were very organized. I would recommend to friends and family and will definitely be staying there again.

With a warm greeting at the front desk, a sincere recommendation for dinner, and a spacious and clean room, the Yosemite Southgate far exceeded our expectations.

This place is awesome! - From the minute you walk in you are greeted by some of the friendliest staff on the planet. The staff here gets along really well with each other and with you; They bring you into their family too with a warm welcome and superior-friendly-service throughout. The hotel environment is super-clean (like it was built yesterday), with a nice an cozy with a fireplace and wonderful decor throughout - really made us feel like we were on an adventurous vacation. They have a swimming pool and workout area (though i can’t swim, nor do I work out - but just thought it’s good to know it’s there if you do either activities). Our room was modern, comfortable, spacious and had all the extras you’d expect. We didn’t have any issues during our stay, but the staff was there at our beck and call if needed - I knew that and felt that - which was very reassuring. The location is very good too, minutes from many of the main sites and numerous restaurants (including a Denny’s right outside). If you’re a first timer like us; there’s an excellent tour you can purchase. The tour bus picks you up from the hotel, and takes you around for the day, showing you all the main sites - We LOVED the tour and the commentary provided by our bus driver so much! - Highly recommended. All in all, this place made our first Yosemite adventure stay a lot more fun! Highly recommended, would certainly stay here again (and again).

The Staff was kind and professional, we liked the room, that was cozy and confortable, but the Wi-fi was not working properly. The breakfast was not as I expect for this kind of Hotel: poor variety of foods and drinks, restricted area.

Wonderful, reasonable, renovated hotel in Oakhurst, near restaurants, shopping areas including grocery store. Guest rooms huge, updated, super clean, comfortable and cozy, beds are great; continental breakfast included with variety of food choices . Place is quite, and friendly. Front desk personal very pleasant and helpful, what a delight! We had a group of 10 people including two children, we all loved this hotel: I will recommend this place to all my family and friends. Staying at the Yosemite Southgate hotel made our visit to Yosemite National Park, our best vacation ever. Oakhurst is only 17 minutes to the South entrance to the Park; you can not ask for better than this.

I went with my whole family, husband , my 4 years old boy and infant. it was our first time went to Yosemite and we just wanted to gate away for 2 night from city of Los Angeles. since it was our first time, I wanted to make sure we would have a great experienced. Customer service in hotel was great, everybody was nice and helpful and very informative. Room is big, clean, and comfy. they have pool and hot tub and we really enjoyed the hot tub after long drive from LA. the hotel closes to stores and restaurants. around 45 minutes drive to valley, tunnel view and Brideveil fall . great experience !

When booking this trip I called the hotel directly and they were beyond helpful. My family very much enjoyed their stay and we will definitely be returning.

Excellent value and accommodations-very comfortable beds. Everything was as it was promised to be: Convenient, clean, comfortable, and quiet.

Upon arrival to the hotel we were greeted by the receptionist, she was very professional and helpful. Very large, clean and cozy room. Over all services was outstanding. Thanks the Dominguez Family.

Nice hotel, convieniet to Yosemite. Line for breakfast was long and slow especially with little kids to feed. Staff were all very friendly. Room was nice size and clean.

The hotel is nice, good locations near some restaurants, I really recommended. The room was big, very clean, and nice. You can have drinks and have it in the small refrigerator inside your room , also enjoy the small coffee maker. You can go to the park Yosemite and that can take you in 35 min from the hotel. Also you can take many tours.

Great room. We had 2 big adults and 2 big teenagers in 2 big queen beds and we had plenty of room for everybody. Rooms we nice and clean and good air-condition. This hotel is perfect for going to Yosemite and not driving but taking a nice air-condition bus that loads just a quick walk away.

Nice spacious clean room. Breakfast was ok. I tried to connect wifi internet but it didn't work, checked with Staff they said sometime with apple device it doesn't work. Nearby location there is some restaurant options chinese, japanies, maxcian etc.
