We stayed in one of the family suites, right next to the pool, the kids loved it. The rooms are very clean and lots of pillows and comfortable beds. The best part was It was very quiet at night. When I made the reservations, they asked for any request and I my answer was extra towels and yes there were extra towels in the room, that was wonderful especially with kids.

Overall, our family thought this place was fine. We stayed 3 nights for a weekend getaway to visit Yosemite. We went on a tour of Yosemite one day which picked us up at the hotel, and we went horseback riding the next, which was about 30 minutes away. We rented two mini suites (one for the kids and one for the 'Rents). The rooms were clean and roomy, each with a mini fridge, microwave, little individual coffee makers (we used them for hot chocolate), and seating/eating area with table and 2 chairs. The adult room also had a couch. The staff was helpful, breakfast was the usual continental fare (waffle maker, cereal, apples, yogurt, toast, muffins) which was fine. The kids liked the pool and hot tub. Denny's was on the property, and there were a bunch of restaurants in short driving distance, plus a Vons and Raley's grocery stores. It's across the street from the Visitor's Center. There were comments in the reviews about construction, but we didn't see any. The quibbles: the internet went in and out sporadically. There's a sign at the front desk that says their internet is weak. The front desk person was pretty iffy about whether streaming is possible or allowed, so we didn't even try to hook up Neflix. No ESPN, so we didn't get to see the NBA playoffs; no local channels, so we couldn't watch any news (there was HBO and NFL Network, though). No newspaper or rack either. Although there was nothing wrong with our air conditioner, it proved challenging to regulate our room temperature at night, so we got a little hot. Maybe that was something we were doing wrong, who knows. Overall, it was a good value for the money. They just need to get faster, more reliable internet!

Great location, big clean rooms with comfortable bed. Coffee all throughout the day.

Clean, roomy and a great value for price given it's close location to Yosemite. I would happily stay here again. Do wish the town itself had more to offer and service at the Denny's next door was awful. However there were zero complaints with the hotel and the hot tub was great after a full day of hiking.

My 21 yr old daughter and I stayed here with my youngest children (6 & 3). The kids loved the pool and it was nice having a light breakfast for everyone to start the day. The rooms were large and clean! I loved the mini-bar area with the small fridge and microwave. The shower was a little small and dated, but it did the job. The pool also got a little crowded because its fairly small compared to how many rooms they have on site. But none-the-less, a great choice for the location and price!

Wonderful reception staff, helpful and friendly. Waffles were fun for breakfast, it's just a pity we were there for such a short time. I believe there was a laundry too (although we arrived too late and left too early to use it)

I recently stayed at this hotel with my family, the value for the room was excellent. The rooms are a very nice size, roomy and very clean. The room has mini fridge, microwave. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in Oakhurst, CA it is a great location to go to either Yosemite National Park,or Bass Lake and to also go to check out The Sugar Pine Railroad. They offer breakfast daily 6am-10am (waffles, muffins, toast, cereal, fruit and yogurt. Juices and coffee. My family greatly enjoyed our stay at the "Yosemite Southgate Hotel & Suites" and we will definitely be back again.
